I don’t think I can emphasize enough how much rage this induces within me. I usually just ignore these things because I have the rage of a million bulls. But this has been a CONSTANT chip on my shoulder.
Now I am not a shipper (though I don’t hide the fact that I love my f!shep and Kaidan) and its because of crap like this that I am not fond of shipping.
It’s bullshit like this that ruins the opportunities of homosexual romances in games. You are completely undermining the purpose of the option, the moment you see sexuality as a fad, right, female privilege, or fan service.
And I’m going to call it out, majority of the M!shep shippers are full of it. Hell most non-Kaidan romancers are, because I remember prior to ME3 all the posts flooding on my dash going “Kaidan is boring” “He’s a crappy character” “Bleh bleh bleh”
And then BAM he is Bi. “Oh Kaidan is not so bad” “Kaidan and MShep is cool” “Oh I didn’t like Kaidan much but ever since seeing the M!Shep scenes”
Magically because he is bi his character is better developed? STFU Fandom.
I thought it was a nice move making Kaidan bisexual at first, but the reaction of the fandoms fangirls has really bothered me. If homoerotic relationships are your fetish that’s fine keep that to YOU, but don’t completely undermine and narrow down a character’s (or person in general) personality to being ‘gay/bi’ or ‘better as a gay/bi’. Fictional or not, it’s seriously just about the principal of it all.
A person’s personality is NOT their sexuality.
